Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Ring 1930

1,399.00

This fabulous diamond and sapphire ring is an authentic Art Deco jewel dating to about 1930 and was most certainly crafted in the United States.

Diamonds: 9 pieces in total, 1 old european cut diamond of approx. 4mm diameter, 2 old european cut diamonds of 3mm diameter, 6 old single cut diamonds of almost 2mm in diameter each. Estimated total diamond weight is 0.70 carat. All diamonds have been tested in our atelier.

Sapphires: 4 pieces in total, mixed baguette cut, approx. 3.5mm x 1.5mm (approx. 0.07 carat each), natural sapphire, tested in our atelier, vibrant blue color; the sapphires are later replacements (immaculate work doing no harm to the otherwise original condition of the ring).

Metal: tested in our atelier as white gold 14K or higher (possibly 18K), there is a faint stamp (see photo) that might say 18K; we guarantee for 14K.

This Art Deco era original dates from around 1930. The workmanship is excellent. Although certainly a product of a bigger jewelry manufactory of that time, the ring is not cast metal, but cut and bent from white gold sheet, with finely sawn cut outs and intricate milgrain work.

The ring is in a very good vintage condition with only light wear commensurate with age.

Currently ring size 6 3/4. Please enquire about free sizing options and insurance appraisal.
