Belle Epoque Platinum and Diamond brooch

Belle Epoque Platinum and Diamond brooch

French belle époque platinum and diamond brooch, dating from approx. 1910, featuring 27 old european cut diamonds (approx. 3.00 carat total weight).

The brooch is delicately crafted from platinum (tested in our atelier as minimum platinum 900, probably rather platinum 950) and a fine example of the artisanship of the French golden period of jewelry making. Only the pin is a later replacement in 18K white gold.

The 27 old cut diamonds, all tested for authenticity, are ranging in size from approx. 2.0 mm to 4.0 mm in diameter and are of G-H color and SI-I1 clarity.

Very good condition. Light wear consistent with age is adding to the historical charm of the brooch.

Size is approx. 10 cm / 3,9 inch in length, weight is 10 g.

Very suitable for daily wear. Looks just as great on the lapel of a blazer as on a little black dress.

Comes with a recent appraisal by the Gemological Appraisal Laboratory (GAL), New York, stating a replacement value of $7,100.00.
