No Heat Burma Ruby + Old Cut Diamond Bangle

No Heat Burma Ruby + Old Cut Diamond Bangle

Beautiful vintage bangle bracelet, crafted from 18K rosé gold (tested, stamped 750) in the Victorian style. The color of the gold is very special, quite close to yellow gold, but still with an unmistakably pinkish hue.

The bangle does not have a hinge, it simply goes over the wrist and is thus very comfortable to wear. With an inner diameter of 2.75 in (7.00 cm) it will fit most hands/wrists of average size (if you would like to have more details about size, please do not hesitate to contact us).

Rubies: Burma origin, 100% unheated + untreated (we have Gübelin reports for 3 of them, see images). 14 rubies in total, most of them weighing a little over 0.20 carat, i.e. approximately 3.0 total carat weight of rubies. The color is a beautiful deep ruby red, with just the right amount of pink to it.

Diamonds: Beautiful Old European and Old Mine Cut diamonds. Color ranges from approximately G-K (conservative estimate as far as setting allows). Clarity ranges from VS2 to SI1. 14 diamonds in total, most of them weighing between 0.20 and 0.25 carat, i.e. approximately 3.10 total carat weight of diamonds.

Exceptional craftsmanship: this bangle is a one of a kind piece of jewelry, hand forged from solid gold, with a total weight of approximately 2.47 oz (70 g). It is in very good vintage condition, with light wear to the metal and small traces of wear to some of the gemstones, consistent with age. Please note that the gemstones, probably cut more than 100 years ago, are much older than the bangle itself.

When we submitted 3 of the rubies to Gübelin for testing (please see reports in images) they were so kind to provide some additional pictures, showing microscopic pictures of the characteristic inclusions found in these rare, unheated Burmese rubies. These pictures are of course included in the purchase.
