Made by Enhoerning Jewelry. Proudly made in Manhattan, New York.
At the center of this ring: a sapphire with a bit of a story about its mysterious origin. When we acquired this antique stone, it came with a report by the reputable German gemological lab DSEF stating that the sapphire is, in their opinion, from Kashmir. When we submitted it to Gübelin, the even more highly regarded Swiss laboratory, to confirm the coveted provenance, their opinion for the geographic origin was given as Ceylon/Sri Lanka.
Wherever this remarkable little sapphire is truly from, with its radiant, intense cornflower blue color of subtly velvety texture, it certainly looks like a veritable Kashmir sapphire!
Assuming that the antique sapphire was most likely facetted more than a century ago, we decided to set it in a Victorian-inspired mounting, meticulously crafted & hand-engraved all around in rich 18K gold, with accents of genuinely antique old-mine cut diamonds from our collection.
.
***The geographic origin of this sapphire, as stated by us, is entirely based on the two lab reports provided; we give no guarantee as to the “true” geographic origin of this sapphire.***
