While rubies of a deep, blood red color are traditionally considered the most desirable, their slightly more affordable pinkish-red counterparts have their very own appeal! This particular example, from the legendary ruby deposits of Burma/Myanmar, has a very lively, strongly fluorescent, almost “neon” pink-red color that is incredibly vibrant. This color does not easily black out, not even in very low light, which is why these rubies are sometimes dubbed ‘Jedi ruby’ (a ruby that doesn’t have a dark side!).

Tastefully mounted in platinum & 18K gold, the ruby flanked by two fine pear diamonds, this vintage ring, probably made about 30 years ago, remains in pristine condition. With AGL report for the unheated Burma ruby.
